7 Most Confusing and Gloomy Films

Who likes the mystery genre films? Who likes a movie with an unexpected ending? I will provide a list of films that are difficult to understand with the best story lines. The best puzzles and plot-twist available will make you chuckle and want to watch it once more. Quite often you will be confused and bored with the films below. But for some people, this kind of film is very interesting and can sharpen the brain. Especially with conspiracy theory films and case solving, it must be everyone's favorite.


1. Donnie Darko (2001)

Tells the story of a naughty teenager named Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal). One day he saw a strange vision of someone wearing a large rabbit costume. Don't know if it's a hallucination or a real person, but Donnie doesn't obey all orders from the Rabbit. Donnie was ordered to commit various mysterious crimes. He deliberately did it to find out what is the purpose of all this.

When I first heard the title of this film, I thought it was an Indonesian film because the title was like an Indonesian name. Then I began to be curious because many said that it was good film and said there was an element of time-travel in it. It turns out that this film is one of the cult films that are difficult to explain and tend to be confusing. Everyone must have their own perceptions after watching this film. Honestly, when I finished watching this film, I didn't really understand the story. I have to read the explanation first to know that this film is actually something.

A man named Leonard has a brain disorder that causes him to always lose his memory at any time in the short term. His memory can only last for a few minutes or maybe one day. Therefore Leonard always records everything that he does and he even tattooed his whole body with notes. In the midst of such conditions, Leonard must find a murderer who killed his wife.

Trevor Reznik (Christian Bale) is a factory worker who has severe insomnia. He hadn't slept in a year, so Trevor often hallucinated and couldn't focus. One day there was an accident at work because Trevor was out of focus. At that moment he saw a man named Ivan, this man always haunted Trevor. Strangely, nobody knew Ivan or saw this man. Finally Trevor decided to look for Ivan's figure and as time went by, Trevor began to realize the cause of the insomnia he was suffering from.

Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) is dating a beautiful girl named Clementine. Their relationship went very well until finally a tragedy occurred.

Maybe because they started to feel bored, so there were various problems that resulted in the breaking up of Joel and Clementine's relationship. Clementine came to a clinic that can erase people's memories. Joel, who knows that Clementine's memories have been erased, then Joel intends to do the same thing, which is to erase memories of Clementine. But over time, Joel began to realize that even though the memories of Clementine had been erased, he still loved Clementine.

This film is not for everyone. That's because this film cannot be enjoyed by everyone and only those "who have intentions" can understand this film. How? Because this film is really complicated, confusing, and even boring. Many say that, this film can only be understood if we have watched it many times.

Tells the story of two friends named Aaron and Abe along with other friends who are working on a scientific project. It was not clear what they were doing, but it looked like they were researching something. After experiencing various failures, finally Aaron and Abe discovered the fact that the machine they were working on was able to be used to reduce the mass of matter. But behind that success, there is something strange. They began to think that maybe the device was actually a time machine.
